Tropical Deciduous Forest

TDF has a (very) wet and a dry season. But the dry season goes through substantial changes in appearance every few weeks such that it could be divided into several seasons. The most conspicuous changes, in addition to the progressive defoliation after the rains end, is a succession of flowering tree species that add bright colors to the forest's background of gray-brown.
